Wire Rope MRT Inspection Report
On July 14, 2016, three people were killed in a landslide accident of CNPC
Bohai Drilling Engineering Company while operating in a village in the Xincheng
town, Jingbian County.
In 2015, on a production platform of some country, operators used cranes to
lift a rented generator onto the supply ship. After the goods are hoisted, the
wire rope of derrick mast broke; the generator hit the rigger, causing fatal
injury and his death.
On November 8, 2013, the ROV underwater robot of a drilling platform carried
out routine inspection of the underwater BOP. After the inspection, the ROV
underwater robot was pulled back by wire rope and the recovered wire rope
suddenly broke, resulting in the rapid fall of ROV, the wire rope rebounded to
the right eye forehead of the injured, causing the right forehead scalp soft
tissue laceration.
In December 2011, the number of people killed in the sinking of an oil rig
near the coast of Sakhalin Island in Russia has increased to 16 and another 37
people are missing.
An explosion happened on a drilling platform in the Gulf of Mexico on
