Application of electromechanical integration products in the production of Luoling Coal Mine

        With the continuous development of coal mining production towards deeper levels, the requirements for control level and scale are becoming higher and higher, accelerating the development and progress of electromechanical integration technology. In the 21st century, China has made significant breakthroughs in the research and application of electromechanical integration technology in coal mines, especially in the fields of coal mine safety production monitoring, steel wire rope detection, comprehensive backup protection of large-scale equipment, and automatic control of mine production process. The use of electromechanical integration products in coal mines can achieve considerable technical, economic and social benefits.


 1.Mechatronics integration

  Mechatronics is a cross-disciplinary integration of mechanical technology, microelectronics technology, optical technology, automatic control technology, computer technology, information technology, interface technology, software programming technology, etc. Its development and progress rely on and promote the development and progress of related technologies. In the 1980s, China established a leading group for mechatronics and listed the technology as part of the "863" plan. Mechatronics is developing towards intelligence, networking, miniaturization, softness, and systematization. Its development has had a great impact on the coal system. The use of mechatronics products will greatly improve the labor intensity, working environment, and safety factor of coal mine production. At the same time, it also achieves specific value in reducing energy consumption and ensuring safe production. It can avoid the need to replace equipment, but instead make necessary adjustments and reforms to product structure and production processes, injecting fresh blood into traditional machinery industry and realizing civilized production.


2.The core technology of mechatronics integration

  Mechanical technology: It is the foundation of mechatronics. The focus of mechanical technology is how to adapt to the needs of mechatronics technology, utilize advanced and new technologies to update concepts, achieve changes in structure, materials, and performance, and meet requirements for reducing weight, reducing volume, improving accuracy, increasing stiffness, and improving performance.

  Computer and information technology: Among them, information exchange, storage and retrieval, calculation, judgment and decision-making, artificial intelligence technology, expert system technology, and neural network technology all belong to computer information processing technology.

  System technology: This refers to organizing and applying various related technologies as a whole, breaking down the overall system into interrelated functional units from a global perspective and system-level objectives. Interface technology is an important aspect of system technology and ensures the organic connection of system components.

  Automatic control technology: This is a very broad field that includes system design based on control theory, design simulation, and on-site debugging. Control technology includes high-precision positioning control, speed control, adaptive control, self-diagnosis and correction, compensation, reproduction, retrieval, etc.

  Sensor detection technology: It is the sensory organ of the system and is the key link in achieving automatic control and automatic regulation. The stronger its function, the higher the automation level of the system will be.

  Servo transmission technology: This includes various types of transmission devices such as electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic servo systems. Servo systems are the conversion devices and components that convert electric signals to mechanical movements and have a decisive impact on the dynamic performance, control quality, and functions of the system.


3.Coal mine electromechanical integration products

  Coal mine mechatronics products have been widely used in many coal mines. Domestic electric traction shearers and fully digital DC hoists, which take computer as the core, have occupied the domestic market. China has been able to produce computer-controlled tunneling machines, belt conveyors, mine power supply equipment, etc. In addition, coal mine safety production monitoring system, belt machine centralized control system, automatic control and information management of mine production process, image monitoring of key equipment and main work sites in the mine, and equipment of the dispatch room have achieved digitalization. Computer network management system has been widely used in production scheduling, finance, human resources, equipment, sales, and office automation. Mechatronics products for coal mines have achieved automation, intelligence, and information of equipment, providing guarantees for high safety, high reliability, high efficiency, and high efficiency of coal mine production.


4、 Application of coal mine electromechanical integration products in Luoling Coal Mine

  Luoling Coal Mine is an old coal mine with high investment and high energy consumption. It has a long front line, a large area of well division, many personnel, low efficiency, and few years of service remaining. There are a large number of inactive, remaining coal pillars and unexploitable thin coal seams that are not suitable for mining. In view of the current situation, in order to survive and develop, it is necessary to eliminate and transform the backward high-energy-consuming equipment and facilities according to the current situation.

  In the past two years, Luoling Coal Mine invested a lot of money to update and renovate old and high-energy-consuming equipment, and adopted electromechanical integration products, which not only improved the safety production factor, but also reduced energy consumption costs and improved efficiency and economic benefits.

  (1) MGD150NW coal mining machine: According to the current mining conditions of Luoling Coal Mine, it is imperative to improve production efficiency for some mining areas. In order to improve safety and quality and increase the tunneling speed, two EBJ-120 cantilever tunneling machines produced by Liaoyuan Coal Mine Machinery Factory and five MGD150NW coal mining machines were selected in April 2007. The mining efficiency was increased by 300%, greatly improving production and reducing costs.

  (2) Comprehensive mining hydraulic support: In 2007, in order to realize mechanized coal mining, improve work efficiency, increase production, improve personal and equipment safety factors, and reduce heavy physical labor, the Luoling Coal Mine first used the comprehensive mining hydraulic support produced by Zhengzhou Siwei Electromechanical Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. on the residual mining working face. Among them, there were 5 ZFG4800/18/30 comprehensive mining top coal transition supports and 126 ZF4000/16/28 basic supports, which improved the recovery rate of the residual mining working face and reflected the unique advantages of electromechanical integration products.

  (3) TCK.W steel wire rope damage quantitative detection system: There have always been unsafe, uneconomical, inefficient, unreliable and dangerous problems in the use of steel wire ropes in coal mines. The detection of steel wire ropes has always relied on manual visual and tactile inspection, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive and inefficient. In July 2006, the Luoyang TCK.W Steel Wire Rope Detection Technology Co., Ltd. produced a TCK.W steel wire rope damage quantitative detection system. This system has the characteristics of high detection accuracy, strong resolution, stable performance, integration, strong applicability and easy to use, and can quantitatively detect steel wire rope breaks, wear, corrosion, fatigue and other damage. It saves detection time, rope personnel, 1/3 of the steel wire rope usage and effectively prevents the occurrence of broken rope accidents.

  (4) Autotransformer starting control cabinet: Luoling Coal Mine is a 1970s-era coal mine with outdated equipment. With the decline of production and the increasingly prominent problem of high energy consumption of large equipment, the performance and characteristics of the main fan have a direct impact on the safety and normal operation of the mine. Since 2004, the main fan in the entire coal mine has been updated and renovated through selection and design. Two Yanjing fans and three BD-II series curved swept combined normal intersection axis air fans produced by Xiangtan Ping'an Electric Group Co., Ltd. were selected and equipped with JJ2B series autotransformer starting control cabinet. This has improved efficiency, saved energy, reduced noise, improved environmental pollution, and ensured the safe production of the mine.

  (5) Hoisting AC Electric Control System: Luoling Coal Mine is a shrinking mine. Since 2000, some facilities have been stopped. In 2006, new reserves were discovered and it was estimated that building a new system would require too much investment. Therefore, the decision was made to reuse the facilities that were stopped in the coal mine and extend the frontline. The main shaft hoisting system is one of the equipment that will be reused. The main shaft hoisting uses a double skip, which is already outdated equipment, and it will be difficult to meet the needs of new production after being stopped for several years. It will require a lot of investment to replace all of them, so the decision was made to renovate on the existing foundation, make new skip liners, and replace the old electric control system of the hoist. We selected the ZJK-3/20 AC hoisting electric control system produced by Luoyang Yuanchuang Electric Co., Ltd., which uses integrated electronic modules with small programmable controllers. It has a simple wiring, easy parameter adjustment, and little maintenance. It has been running well since installation.

  (6) Others: We also adopted coal mine hoisting machine integrated backup protection devices with PLC, PZBJ-II type belt conveyor integrated safety monitoring and protection instruments, ZDC30/30 coal mine inclined roadway anti-running car block devices, BKGWD series temperature sensors, QB2-1200/1140(660) mine explosion-proof intelligent combined switch, GDTF-1 type rail monitoring system, electronic scale measurement monitoring system and other coal mine electromechanical integration products. The mine production system gradually develops towards intelligent, information-based, controlled, and integrated modes.


  onclusion remarks

  Of course, the development of mechatronics is not isolated. There are many technologies related to mechatronics, and with the development of science and technology, the trend of integration of various technologies will become more and more obvious. The development of mechatronics technology and its application in coal mine production will also be more extensive.
